In the News: Times Union Reports Final Approval of New Building

Socha Management is one step closer to the realization of its New Mixed-Use Building that will provide Glenville residents with fresh dining and shopping options.

According to Bill Socha, his latest addition to his Route 50 plazas will be in his words, “raising the bar for the area. It’s going to be a building that will be very attractive and stand out.”

Reporter Eric Anderson notes that construction on the building has been rescheduled to start in spring 2013. The building could house a restaurant and medical offices, and will offer apartments.

Anderson goes on to outline the various amenities the building and plaza will feature:

The third floor will contain 17 apartments, with a dozen units to be corporate apartments for visitors to area companies.
The apartments will have balconies, fireplaces, granite counters and other amenities, Socha said.
Even the sidewalks outside the building will be heated to keep them free of snow and ice in the winter, he added.
